10 Best Idol Raps of 2017

1. Dramarama - MONSTA X
MONSTA X's "DRAMARAMA" had great raps from both Jooheon and I.M. The members do a wonderful job delivering dynamic raps, as well as performing excellently in the video. A true display of idol rapper talent!
2. Movie - BTOB
"Movie" by BTOB has both English and Korean rap verses! Peniel to Minhyuk is a simple symphony to the ears. Though Peniel's is a bit more of a laid-back style, his lines blend effortlessly into Minhyuk's darker more brooding rap. BTOB's "Movie" is a masterpiece.
3. Remember - 9MUSES
9MUSES' Sojin doesn't have your typical idol girl group vocalist voice. In fact, her low tone gives her rap in 9MUSES' song, "Remember," an icy undertone. Her execution of the rap contrasts well with the overall feel of the song and she easily nails it as one of the best idol raps of 2017.
4. MIC Drop - BTS
BTS has had one hell of a year and one of their best songs rap performance-wise has been the powerful, "MIC Drop". All three members of the rap line, RM, j-hope, and Suga, all show off their masterful talents and spitfire rhymes. The group continues to deliver incredible raps; each better than the last.
5. Cherry Bomb - NCT 127
"Cherry Bomb" by NCT 127's most dynamic and important rap was performed by Mark. His tactical word flow and cool execution into some of the track's most pivotal lines prove impactful upon every listen! The instrumental drop that follows his epic enunciation of "CHERRY BOMB" is what sets Mark's rap apart from those belonging to other idols.
6. Shall We Dance - Block B
With Zico in the crew, it's hard to have raps that aren't good, but the rap line of Block B turns "Shall We Dance" into a dance floor groove! We have to give a shoutout to Park Kyung for absolutely throwing a wild off-the-beaten-path rap into the mix.
7. The Door - Kang Seung Yoon, Song Min Ho
With Zico as head of the production for the track, Song Min Ho and Kang Seung Yoon shine as a duo together on the OST track entitled, "The Door". The rap done by Song Min Ho is effortless and shows that Song Min Ho's rap abilities have continually improved. We hope to see more material from him in 2018!
8. As If It's Your Last - Black Pink
Lisa of Black Pink has awesome delivery in their song, "As If It's Your Last". Not only does she deliver a sassy rap reminiscent of CL in her 2NE1 days, she also carries the song's bridge! Multi-talented and beautiful Lisa at her best!
9. I Like It - CLC
In CLC's "I Like It", their rapper, Yeeun, sets herself apart from her fellow group mates with a distinctive voice and lyrical delivery. With two parts on the track, her unique sound is always easy to pick apart from the rest. Yeeun also has great delivery on CLC's song "Pepe".
10. Chill - EXO
Though EXO's rap line hasn't always been praised for their out-of-this-world rap ability, there certainly is a noticeable improvement for the better in delivery and lyricism in EXO's raps. On their song, "Chill," Chanyeol and Sehun rap in sync with each other. The fluidity of their performances together mixes well for the rap portion of the track.

This year has been filled with great songs with even better raps: which ones were your favorite?
