Uhh..They are popular because they are attractive for many people, their songs are catchy but some don't like it maybe you but many love it, good personality, charisma, stage presence, adorable, they are unique in their own way, you can easily distinguish each member, they love their fans so much that we always have an update about them like after their promotion they will have many shows, and do random vlive just to interact with us. They love us so much so we just reciprocate it.

Yep, if their music is not catchy and not loved by many. Would you think they would gain many fans that would buy their albums, stream their music video and follow them everywhere? Yes they will gain fans by their looks but to make a person stay is a lot of effort. I got interested in Twice after i heard their debut song Like Ooh Ahh from a friend then got addicted to it until I watched the mv and fell inlove with them. I'm not a person who will stan a group really hard but now I stan Twice so much..

It's business my friend if they wouldn't produce catchy song, they will have the same faith to those groups who disbanded and their company will not mind them and other people too. They have actual talents (all people have) many people just have high expectation and standards that they think needed for kpop. But no, Kpop idols must balance everything to stay in the industry even looking good in public and the ability to attract others. They can sing but many twice members have soft voice/vocal and Jihyo is not as high as other main vocalist but they have a nice vocal color and for us their voices or vocals is enough. If you are referring to MR Removed well it is your choice to believe it or not or just make it an excuse to bash other. Mostly in Twice are great dancers their choreography might not be hard as some idol group but their choreography is meant for all, you can dance with it even if you're very young or old. Chaeyoung is a good rapper, but their just in an early stage to produce their own music. And they have other talents to like playing instruments.

it's because they're from JYP and had hype from the Sixteen show and the whole Tzuyu flag incident. Also their production and management are really good (no surprise coming from JYP). I'm in love with their MV's and title songs. I listened to their 1st album but I really disliked it, seriously tho their main songs are so catchy and fun to dance too. Also like many other groups they seem to be a bit odd and funny but if we where just going off of that i'd think Mamamoo would be just as popular (considering all of them can actually sing). Idk how large the Twice fandom is but in conclusion I think the reason they get views is mostly for the title songs, MVs, coming from JYP, the flag incident, being pretty and also the fact that people wanna like popular groups (you know the whole sheep; follow the crowd thing)

Well I know enough about how k pop is working and of course the catchy songs are a need but like I said I thought it's not just about it. The way you put it, it seems like you're just making excuses because of their poor singing ability. I know how these large k pop groups work. Everyone should have their place like in - dancing, variety, acting, rapping and SINGING. If these aspects are balanced then congrats we have the golden group here totally worth the hype but ehm no. If you have such large popular group it'd be good if at least 3 of them were the great singers like SNSD Taetiseo (+Jessica before) , Exo - Baekhyun, DO, Chen . Suju - Kyuhyun, Ryewook, Yesung. In these groups the others can sing well too , just not at the level of their best singers and of course there are these who can't sing so well but have other talents. Ballance is what Twice doesn't have sadly. If they were just popular, I wouldn't mind but they're this mega popular just through their agency and looks but again okay. Let's end it here. This is just mine opinion, I'm not gonna hate them or troll because the girls seems to be nice but no I still don't and probably won't understand this hype. And btw it's not my choice to believe MR removed version, it hurts the ears unfortunately.

I've written. dancing, rapping and SINGING. By what I should judge group then? Again it's good to have the good actors, MCs and people with variety skills but singing simply can't be pushed on the last place for God's sake. I didn't say you couldn't judge a group on either of the three. I clearly said just because you don't think they're any good doesn't mean no one else does. Also, singing ability doesn't decide how much hype a group gets. Personally I think their singing and rapping are fine. If the worth of all songs based off of how good each singer was, SNSD's gee wouldn't have become a huge hit as it did back in the day. The reason why I'm a fan? I watched sixteen and saw part of what they went through to be where they are at. If you don't see the appeal then there must be something you see that me or a few hundred thousand or even milion people don't see.
