An apartment resident who "gifted" the security guards with expired food is being criticized.

One of the security guards who received the expired food posted the photos online to protest the resident's rude behavior.

In the photos, you can see snacks and tea bags with expiration dates from 2013 and beyond.

The security guard wrote, "One resident gave us this saying, 'Thank you,' but when we looked through it, they were all expired food. So I wrote a note saying, 'We also get stomachaches' and left it in front of the resident's apartment door."

In the note, he wrote, "Ma'am, if you are going to give us food, please check the expiration dates....How can you look at us after giving us these? You can have it all....Do you not see us as human beings because we are security guards?" Other residents in the building expressed anger against the inconsiderate resident.

This is not the first time something like this happened, however. Last month, when a company announced that their toothpaste contained harmful chemicals in them, one resident gave boxes of the same toothpaste to the security guard of his building, angering the public.

In Korea, security guards are often retired, elderly men who are socio-economically vulnerable. Some residents treat them like they are slaves. Giving these type of "gifts" is one of many ways they are mistreated.
