Actor Jo Jae Hyun sat with the MCs of MBC's 'Radio Star' on September 21 where he explained the past controversy of his displeased expression during a ceremony when Suzy went up to accept an award.

MC Yoon Jong Shin first brought this up with, "During the 'MBC Drama Awards' back in 2013, Jo Jae Hyun's glowering expression at Suzy's winning speech became a hot topic."
Jo Jae Hyun finally got a chance to explain why he looked like he was scowling at Suzy's win. It turns out it had nothing to do with her! He first said, "After that day, I always smile whenever I go to an award ceremony," making everyone laugh. He then clarified, "It was so hot that day. It was not only hot but also the chair was so uncomfortable that I naturally became serious. I am self-reflecting on my expression. I never know when the camera will get a shot of me, so I'm paying heed to my expression."
