Kris was recently enveloped in rumors of allegedly being caught in bed with a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend; now, the singer's past, particularly concerning his family, was dug up by the Chinese media, and the Korean media was quick to report on it as well.
According to recent Chinese media outlet reports, Kris's parents divorced when he was young, and Kris was raised by his mother. Little was known about Kris's father, that is until now.

Allegedly, Kris's father graduated from Tsinghua University, and currently, he is employed as a section chief at a branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. However, these rumors were quickly quelled when the Chinese Academy of Sciences made an official announcement through social media that the branch did not exist. As it so turned out, the rumors were unfounded.
Kris, upon discovering that false rumors were being spread about his family, vented on social media, "No one should cross the line. I don't care what you may do to me. Just don't cross the line with my family."
