Bae Doo Na, who plays one of the lead roles in the series, and her co-stars were seen on a float at the gay pride festival in São Paulo. She's also said to have been in Brazil for the 'Louis Vuitton 2017 Resort Fashion Show' as the international face of the brand.

The actress posted a few photos to Instagram along with the message, "The face I have when I'm really having fun and happy (face when I feel deeply excited and happy inside)."

However, it seems her posts have upset some netizens. One commented, "Why did Bae Doo Na go to a gay parade," while another said, "After working with the Wachowskis directors, she's going to a weird place like this." Many also defended the actress, saying, "Is it so weird that she went to a gay parade," and "She shouldn't be criticized for going to a gay parade. That's an insult to sexual minorities."

Bae Doo Na's agency SBD Entertainment addressed the negative response on May 31, stating, "The photos are from a filming for the American drama 'Sense8'. Bae Doo Na did not attend the parade on her personal time, but was participating for a 'Sense8' filming. If you look at the photos closely, you'll see her co-stars and staff."

The bad thing about gay parades is that they portray homosexuals as perverted people. The only thing they show is naked people and allusions to private parts and sex toys all over the place. It's horrible!! It shouldn't be like that, homosexual people are also normal individuals with many aspects to their lives and their personalities... I understand the rage against them, done even by homosexuals themselves...

how homophobic

The comment about the Wachowskis is hilarious.  I guess the raging little keyboard monkey that made it wasn't aware that one of the Wachowski directors is transgender and just recently completed transitioning to a female.

people dont need to justify going to any parade that advocates human rights... gay pride endorses gay rights, thus, it advocates HUMAN RIGHTS. stop living in the last century, netizens!

WHY THE *BLEEEEEEP* WOULD IT BE A BIG ISSUE?! maybe they're jealous because they're not the ones on that *BLEEEP*-ing float.

I hate the way the company defended her. "Don't worry about her going to a gay parade. It's all just for work". It's acceptable to go to a gay parade even when it isn't for work.

She asked them to do that. And then she went back to living her very fabulous life

serendiipity Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Oh they just need to get over it. There's nothing wrong with her attending the parade.

Bae Doo Na is beyond of korean square minds. I love kpop, kdrama and their culture, but is it true they are so racist and discriminatory?

It depends on where you are in the country and what age. I don't know anybody who falls into those categories. And older Koreans aren't known for their political correctness. They're going to say what they mean and for some visitors that's offensive.

If they think this is a big deal, they really need to get a life.
