Legendary diva Patty Kim has announced her retirement from the industry.
The singer held a press conference in Seoul recently to share the news with the public. "I've been thinking about how to make a graceful exit for the past ten years," she said. "I feel like I can sing for another 10 years, but I would like to step down from the stage now, when people will continue to remember me at my best."
With regards to her retirement plans, Patty revealed, "I don't have any specific plans yet. I will take the time to think it over, but I would like to become an average grandmother, spending time with my daughter and my grandchildren. If I want to sing, I will sing in front of the mirror for myself."
"It's hard for someone who knows the joy and appeals of singing on stage to step down," she continued. "I'm saddened, but I want to leave with a joyful heart. I don't think I will change my mind about this retirement."
"Even if I were born again, I would like to live life as Patty Kim," she said at the end.
Patty Kim will be holding a retirement tour starting June 2nd to wrap up her singing career.
