allkpop is looking for experienced reporters & bloggers who are in tune with K-pop media & Korean entertainment, as well as those who are very familiar with the Korean culture. If you love to write and wish to contribute your creative ideas to an audience of more than 4 million monthly readers, we want you!

If you think you have what it takes, we'll need a bit of your background information as well as some samples of your work.

 

The following positions are currently open:

 

> News Reporters

We are looking for reporters who will be on top of all the latest developments in Korean entertainment and available between these two shifts: 10:00AM ~ 7:00PM EST and 1:00AM ~ 10:00AM EST.

To apply, find a Korean news item from a Korean news source and provide an English translation for it as if it was ready to publish on allkpop.�The topic of the news item should be something you're interested in, and it should be at least three paragraphs long. Make sure to include your own style and flair, because your voice is important and will make news a lot more enjoyable for our readers.

 

> Op-Ed Bloggers / Special Features

Bloggers will be required to submit bi-weekly/weekly editorials on various trending topics in Korean entertainment & culture, as well as work on special feature articles.

To apply, please submit an original opinion editorial explaining why you feel K-pop and Korean media as a whole has become such a global phenomenon. Be analytical and descriptive, while still including hard facts to support your arguments. Try to deliver your main points in 500 words or less. Please note, these op-ed blogger positions are open to all applicants, fluent or non-fluent in the Korean language. However, a strong understanding of the Korean entertainment scene and culture is a necessity.

 

Finally, remember to also briefly introduce yourself, as we want to get to know you! Tell us why you think we should choose you, and list any qualifications or related experience you think would work to your advantage.�And as with any writing assignment, things like grammar, structure, spelling, flow, and vocabulary will be important. We also value your own voice in the piece, so please remember to be original.
