Shinhwa's Minwoo came forward with being scammed out of almost $2 million, however, the response from netizens has been notably cold.

On the May 11th episode of 'Mr. House Husband', Minwoo joined the cast. During the show, Minwoo opened up about his recent scandal. He said, "To be honest, I don't have time or energy to prepare for marriage. I have been through some stuff recently." Claiming he has been scammed by his friend of 20 years, he continued, "In the end, it was all settled. The perpetrator has been sentenced to jail although it's kind of still going on. After the incident, I cut ties with everyone. I couldn't sleep at night. I had to take sleeping pills which I hated. It was really rough."

Previously on April 10th, it was reported a writer has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for scamming the idol out of 2.6 billion won by convincing the idol they'll help him get out of sexual harassment accusations. The idol was previously accused of molesting two women. The writer allegedly convinced the idol they knew the prosecutors in the trial and would bribe them on the idol's behalf. After the idol gave them the money in question, they then kept the money for themselves.

Court documents revealed the writer did not know the prosecutors at all, and the idol was found not guilty of sexual harassment claims in December 2019. After the verdict, the writer approached the idol again and asked for more money claiming that the prosecutors planned to appeal the case. The idol finally filed suit against the writer after 26 months and 2.6 billion won. The writer was then sentenced to 9 years in prison, however, the writer has appealed their case.

Following the broadcast, netizens reacted: "I guess he really thinks he is an innocent victim."

"Well, if he wasn't scammed then he is guilty of bribery. I can't believe he can confidently appear on TV."

"I hate that he abuses the word 'gaslighting' like this."

"I would have kept my mouth shut."

"I thought his cases were dropped. Doesn't that mean he didn't molest two women?"

"He was sentenced not guilty, not proven innocent. Which means when there is a new evidence, his case can be brought back by prosecutors."

"But that doesn't mean he deserves to be scammed out of his entire cash asset."

"I can't believe he is confidently sharing that."

"lol unbelievable."

"Pathetic."

Recently, Shinhwa member Minwoo's claim of being scammed for around $2 million has been widely discussed online, making many people think about the security of their financial transactions. In such moments, it is especially important to be able to monitor your transactions. I found this detailed guide on how to get an official mpesa statement , which provides transparency and allows you to track all your movements, to be helpful in understanding this issue. This approach seems reasonable for anyone who wants to protect their finances.
