iQiyi's upcoming variety program 'The Rap of China' is getting a lot of rap from netizens for possibly plagiarizing Mnet's 'Show Me the Money.'

One netizen criticized the show via an online community board for its similarities in terms of how the overall show is run not to mention the brand identity.

Let's take a closer look, shall we? First at the obvious logo.  The words 'The Rap of China' is stylized in a similar matter with a hint of gold in the words and background.  Then how about Korea's 'Show Me the Money?' It is the same. One can see that the background is decorated in gold.

Meanwhile, 'The Rap of China' is scheduled to air on June 24, making it the first hip-hop reality show in China, heightening the anticipation of viewers.  The show will feature four producers, such as former EXO member Kris, Taiwanese rapper  MC HotDog, Taiwanese rock musician Chang Chen Yue and singer Wilber Pan, who will ultimately select and train rappers.

I watched some bit of that show and it screams SMTM... the way of auditioning, the necklage reward, the second round of selection (on stage in front of the sitting judges, with the time and Fail/Pass signs...). It is 100% copy of SMTM...smh, they could have at least make an effort of changing some things... anyway... It kinda made me laugh when I saw Kris as a judge, he still has a lot to learn before judging other people's rapping skill...So far I'm not really convinced about the contestants rap :/ but I haven't watched everythingBut good news: there is a Zhou YiXuan from Uniq -^-^-

But tbh Tao is a wayyyy better Chinese rapper than Yi Fan. He has the childhood awards to prove it.

If Wu Yi Fan is gonna be there...that means there will be subs! I wanna see the Chinese-style evil editing.

...a lot of people must hat china (just saying sry if I'm offending you) cause this article right now just showed the logo and nothing else yet ...and "normally" people would say things like we have to wait or ... (btw I'm NOT chinese!)

angelazhou sonjazh Thursday, May 4, 2017

Yup, many people have an extremely negative view of china so they like to pick on the smallest things. Makes me sad... :(

azrchi sonjazh Thursday, May 4, 2017

I know what you feel, I think with the THAAD going on, people are more sensitive to these things now more than ever

yennyikonbb sonjazh Friday, May 5, 2017

It just adds on to what they've done before. I don't hate china but I'm not really a fan of it.

Chinese entertainment are really shameless. I wonder why God didn't put Koreans in China and the Chinese in Korea. If that would have been the case right now, Korea would probably be richer than the United States in terms of entertainment.

Brother_Flanders Broken_Red Saturday, May 6, 2017

but theres nothing in the article except for the logo that really shows anything about the Chinese rap show copying show me the money?

baengoo Thursday, May 4, 2017

i'm sorry but kris is the definition of someone who only raps because they can't sing.

so china wants to make restrictions on kpop and whatnot., but then they make this kind of move..... jelly much?

xxxibyesor Thursday, May 4, 2017

but dont get me wrong tho.. if this kind of shows helps to be more considerate towards to black people then im happy... probably should say it differently but i hope ppl understand me

yennyikonbb xxxibyesor Friday, May 5, 2017

I don't get how these kinds of shows would help be more considerate to black people..... can you explain more?

xxxibyesor yennyikonbb Friday, May 5, 2017

oh my bad..srry im so bad at explaining stuff.. well hiphop started in america right? maybe when the viewers watch more black artists/rappers they wouldnt think bad of black people.. not trying to say that all chinese people think bad about them, but i believe majority is.. (correct me if im wrong tho)

yennyikonbb xxxibyesor Friday, May 5, 2017

No it's okay I just wanted to ask more about what you thought. I'm not sure if the Chinese people think bad about them, but I'm not sure if this will help lessen the negativity if they do.... I can see where you're coming from but honestly I don't think so

Other than MC Hotdog, none of them are qualified to be rap trainers. What a joke.
