Popular girl group member 'J' revealed to have lost 200 million KRW in a scam

According to The Fact, 'J', a main singer in a currently popular girl group, invested 200 million KRW (approximately 175,000 USD) in a concert investment company by someone named 'Kim'. However, 'Kim' disappeared without a trace on April 6, leaving 8 victims with a total loss of 1.7 billion KRW (approximately 1.5 million USD). The police estimate a total loss of 12 billion KRW (10.5 million USD) when accounting for cases that have not been reported yet.

'J's label said, "She hasn't reported her case, and we don't even know if something like that happened."

Cases are still being reported for the incident, so the police stated that they could not reveal much detail. Hopefully, the con artist gets caught.
