The new film is gaining great attention due to the fact that actress Kim Min Hee worked on another production with director Hong Sang Soo, the controversial man behind her affair rumors.

Back in 2015, Kim Min Hee worked with Hong Sang Soo for the first time in the film, 'Right Now, Wrong Then'. 'On the Beach at Night Alone' marks their second production together, and the film has also been invited to the 67th 'Berlin International Film Festival' taking place on February 9. Many are curious to find out whether or not the couple will be making a public appearance together at the upcoming event.

While it is an excusable thing to break a marriage and a family that's lasted this long, I can't really blame the director and kim min hee alone, it's known the director tried to get a divorce from his wife before he even cheated on her, but she kept refusing, eventually they decided to just go through with their relation and still the wife continues to refuse to give him a divorce, so I find it pretty unfair to lash out so harshly on these two

becouse society is unfair to women even in a modern sk...divorced woman, single mothers is a taboo...

It's not as bad as it used to be, sure no one will go out of their way to mention it, but it's not exactly something out of this world, plus it's not like they have small children to take care of as I'm pretty sure their daughter is already of age or near it

There are legal ways to absolve a marriage. Discrediting your wife and child by cheating and letting the entire Korean community, who are severely judgemental, know about it isn't the way to do it. He was tacky and tasteless. Min hee is even worse because she constantly sent messages taunting the women and telling her to break off the marriage. I think you are too sympathetic towards him. What boils me even more is that if he legally ended the marriage the wife would be getting money for her and her daughter, now that he has cheated and is legally trying to pin the cheating on her she may not see a dime.

Quick question: if a boy cheats on his girlfriend, a husband cheats on his wife, a man steals a loaf of bread, you lie on your Twitter/IG profile, you lust in your heart over boy/girl group, which is the greatest sin? Not a trick question. Here's the answer: they are all the same, none greater than the other in the eyes of God. Sin is Sin. Only men categorize sin and judge which is greater than the other. If  a man murdered someone and you stole money from your mother, unless both of you repent of this sin both of you will go to hell in God's book. Now if you're not Christian you may not understand this but the Bible explains's called the 10 commandments that Christians (well not only Christians but all human beings) must abide by to enter heaven after death.

Um, a husband cheating on his wife would be considerably a greater sin than the others. First off all, it breaks the commandment of adultery. Included in that would be lying and coveting your neighbor's wife. It covers a multitude of sins. While if you lied on your profile, that's one. Of course all sin is sin, but when you mention cheating on a spouse, that's more than just one sin.

A boy who sleeps with his girlfriend is call fornication...they are all sins none bigger than the other in God's eye.

I'm not watching! ;)

kpoplolita Wednesday, January 25, 2017

their personal lives aside, they are both talented in their career and the movie will still sell bcz ppl keep paying attention to them.

Nutelladela kpoplolita Wednesday, January 25, 2017

that would be the case in hollywood, but I'm not so sure in Korea. I wouldn't be surprised if this movie gets boycotted to hell and back

SeleneAlai Nutelladela Wednesday, January 25, 2017

I'm with you, this movie is probably bound to have a massive negative reception domestically, regardless of whether this movie does well in film festivals. I mean the adultery laws in SK only change like 2 years ago where before adultery was consider a crime and you would end up jail. I doubt that the SK people would have change their perspective about their subject even if the law has.
