Track List:

1. Apple Pie
2. Apple Pie (Inst.)

Not long after their last release 'A Delicate Sense,' FIESTAR is back with a summer single to whet your appetite, "Apple Pie."

I'm not too enamored with the song. The beat is okay, and, like usual, the vocals are top shelf. But the sad thing is that the whole package is just middle of the road. It's neither good nor bad, but just 'meh.' I don't hate it, but it certainly doesn't make my top 10 song list either.

In any case, it just didn't grab me. The main verses are ok, Yezi's rapping isn't half-bad, but the chorus was not as exciting and catchy as I would have hoped. There are better tunes in the FIESTAR canon than this one.

This MV has the girls dressed up as different professions: scientist, maid, flight attendant. And, in keeping with the apple theme, Snow White. Each of the costumes is sexy, and the girls tend to fail at what they're doing. Eventually they all end up around the same table eating miniature apple pies.

There are some nice humorous touches here; the video features Cao Lu's partner on 'We Got Married,' comedian Jo Se Ho. And some of the scenes were by turns cute or funny.

The dancing was definitely not all that great. We didn't see that much of it, but what I did see didn't impress me. It almost looked like the choreo was an afterthought, which is not a good thing. There was a sort of a sexy pantomime that Yezi did after her rap that just made the whole affair more embarrassing.

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, there are plenty of cute and funny aspects to it. On the other hand the sets and outfits look cheap. I respect that not everything has to have a million-dollar price tag like a TV show, but you can do something on the cheap without having it look cheap. There's a lot here that's just kind of hit or miss.

I agree this author. Song is just like so so. I notice their outfit especially come back stage outfit are too Bad. From media point of view, their group got attention on this comeback. But production a bit like rushing and missing art. Come on! Be more like GFriend's Rought, make art with heart. because people are feeling with heart. Good luck, Guys. :)

I like the melody. It contrasts the other loud songs I'm listening to right now so it gives my ears a break.

This is the first Fiestar song I ever listened to, but I think this song is quite nice? The chorus gets to me after listening to it several times, especially the "... so sweeeeet like apple pie"

I liked it. but I fall for anything that involves food ^^

TBH I seriously do not agree with the ratings that these allkpop authors give! Like honestly these artists work their ass off trying to film, dance, and sing for these mv songs and you give them a shallow rating? Like seriously, 7 is not all that bad but give some credit to these artists before you start critiquing them for their mv songs.

That doesn't mean it's good. Hard work doesn't mean it's automatically good, It's a review and analysis of the song, not a pat on the back....

Miko101 pinkelly Wednesday, June 15, 2016

Well I still believe that hard work pays off. Otherwise why would all of these talented people become kpop idols in the first place?

As someone below mentioned, the lyrics are quite fine. The melody and choreo, though, are very very bland. I don't dislike happy concept for a change, but this change is too too abrupt (even PR-wise) and it doesn't flow naturally from their previous concepts, making the group image seems really detached now. It's like they disbanded, then reformed as a new group with a new concept to rid the old one. I don't expect their comebacks to be identical; in fact, their old titles and concepts were not too similar yet they still keep within the same area which is necessary to keep the image constant. The next song must always link back to the previous one, even with just small details.

I like the song, but, it's not my favorite from Fiestar. One More, e.g., is golden, though! As well as several songs of Black Label. Still, Apple Pie's a good song, IMO

This person really didn't like the song, so much so that they were very rude about it
