Red Velvet is suspected of stealing designs off the runway

It looks like everyone has their eye on fashion knock-offs as of late following Yoon Eun Hye's current controversy. �Red Velvet became the target of such scrutiny on September 9, when a netizen posted online with a title remarking on the similarities between Red Velvet's concept outfits for "Dumb Dumb" and an overseas brand, apparently suggesting plagiarism.

The netizen claimed that the school look was reminiscent of outfits from the French brand 'Olympia Le-Tan's 2015 S/S collection. �Pictures can be seen of�Seulgi and Irene's outfits side-by-side with the runway models' strikingly similar clothes. �This has gained a lot of attention to the point SM Entertainment had to step up to respond.

The agency stated, "The stylist purchased the outfits from the relevant brands and styled them," revealing that the group had not been sponsored by the brand, rather the stylist personally had prepared the outfits for the girls through legal means.
