BTS' Jimin often dyes his hair, especially when there is a new comeback. He makes sure to match the album concept while also adding his own flair through his eye-catching performances.

December 13 is the date when BTS Jin was to report for his enlistment. As such fellow members all escorted him to the 5th Infantry division in Yeoncheon county of Gyeonggu province for his attendance ceremony. The members then posted two photos on their official Twitter account showing all of them dressed warmly as they wished him goodbye with the caption, "Our Hyung!! Go and come back safely!! Love u 💜."

Jimin was nicely and cozily clad in cargo pants, a hoodie with a heavy black jacket on top, black shoes, and a black beanie to complete the look. The hair under his beanie is what caught everyone's eye because after so long Jimin's hair looked blonde or appeared to be within the process of debuting a new color.

Jimin had kept his natural hair for many months, and after seeing his blonde hair, fans could not contain their excitement. It is often said that Jimin is a natural blonde because of how good the color looks on him, as it matches his natural skin tone and styling perfectly.

Thus as soon as fans saw this, they began discussing the new developments with much attention on various social media platforms. The enthusiastic fans responded with "The return of the blonde fairy," "My heart is pounding," "I want to see Jimin his hair changed quickly," "My heart is shaking because I think his personal activity is about to begin," and more. Although a sad moment, this was a welcome and exciting distraction, with some fans wondering whether the change meant his solo album was going to release soon.

On Twitter, Jimin quickly rose on real-time trends, with JIMIN'S HAIR at the #1 position in the United States and BLONDE JIMIN reaching the 6th spot. Worldwide, the peaks on trends were #4 JIMIN'S HAIR, #12 BLONDE JIMIN, #20 JIMIN RUBIO, and #27 JIMIN IS BLONDE. In South Korea, "박지민 탈색" (Park Jimin bleached his hair) was also a trending topic.

Jimin continued to show his support for fellow member Jin by changing his profile photo on Weverse to one of them together. He also shared a Weverse post on the 15th, curious about Jin saying, “I wonder if our Jin hyung is training right now.” Later, Jimin also wrote to fans asking them to take care not to catch a cold from the chilly weather and left a comment on his post saying, “love u 😘.” A Bangtan bomb was released later on the same day; it showed all of them sharing precious last moments while taking pictures and chatting; fans who related to missing Jin began trending: Same Jimin, jimins, Oh Jimin, O jimin, PARK JIMIN, on WorldWide trends jin hyung ranked 23rd and jiminie 28th.
