BTS made it onto Rolling Stone's year-end rankings.
With 2018 drawing to a close, Rolling Stone compiled rankings for the best songs and albums of the year. The Big Hit Entertainment boy group managed to enter two rankings - '20 Best Pop Albums of 2018' and '50 Best Songs of 2018.'
BTS' 3rd album, 'Love Yourself: Tear,' landed at #13 on the '20 Best Pop Albums of 2018.' Rolling Stone highly praised the album, stating, "It’s more than just their biggest album – it comes on so strong, it’s practically the K-pop Appetite for Destruction. They show off everything they can do without watering down their style (or abandoning their language), making a chump out of anyone who claimed U.S. fans weren’t ready to embrace the sound of Seoul."
In the '50 Best Songs of 2018,' BTS is found at #38 with "Fake Love." The title track of the album 'Love Yourself: Tear' is described as an "impressive fusion" by the "K-Pop's biggest ambassadors."
BTS is the only K-pop act to make it onto Rolling Stone's year-end rankings.
