On April 26, Hong Hyun Hee posted the following to her Instagram: "This is comedian Hong Hyun Hee of 'People Searching for Laughter'. I'm sorry, and I sincerely apologize to all those who were hurt by my thoughtless gag. I'll try my best to think more carefully and deliver more healthy laughs in the future."

As previously reported, there was an uproar after Hong Hyun Hee appeared in a comedy skit wearing blackface on the SBS show. Many viewers, international and domestic, complained that the skit was racist and offensive. Comedian Sam Hammington also gave his two cents on the matter.

Such a 'clinical' apology. A little bit more thought and sincerity would have helped her a little. Sounds like she's doing it grudgingly.

propanda Thursday, April 27, 2017

Lol at people borderlining sexism in their insults to her. Insult her actions, not her looks if you want to have any kind of credibility behind your words.

ShayMin propanda Thursday, April 27, 2017

Why should people not insult her looks? Didn't she think it was funny to take the piss out of the physical characteristics of an entire race?

Nutelladela propanda Thursday, April 27, 2017

If she's going to turn the looks of an entire race into a joke then yeah, she needs to see what it's like when her own appearance gets turned into the fucking joke that she is.

propanda ShayMin Thursday, April 27, 2017

Because lot of it is sexist and how being sexist is any better than mocking a race? Otherwise cause it's just petty instead of actual arguement against what she did. So childish.

Sam Okyere also spoke out on the issue on instagram. I'm glad people are stepping forward about this issue because frankly, it's unacceptable. This apology however seems very cut and paste. I hope she reflects on this and all those involved.

oliviasolscott Wednesday, April 26, 2017

This apology is lacking. SMH. Not to mention it's too late...

I think while there is comedian programs like Gag Concert on KBS also, I think Gag Concert has a stricter censor since its aired on KBS, I hope SBS also review the skits that the Comedians come up with before broadcasting, and those people who approved the skit is equally at fault if they didnt stop her idea of using the skit in a broadcast. I think this show like what happened to SNL and the whole "touching of male idol" needs a wake up call, and re-examine what it takes to make people laugh, but not cross over the line.

ShayMin Wednesday, April 26, 2017

She can take her 'apology' and shove it up her loose, fishy vagina.

hermesdragon ShayMin Wednesday, April 26, 2017
