Kim Hye Soo recently traveled to Nepal with the non-governmental organization, Good Neighbors, to deliver food for the impoverished. The good deeds Kim Hye Soo performed in Kailali, Nepal will be broadcast on November 13 on MBC's social commentary show, "W." Kailali District, a part of Seti Zone, is located 700 km south of Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, and is home to many disadvantaged farmers. During her stay at Kailali, Kim Hye Soo delivered over 10 tons of food to around 350 families and also visited the local elementary school to personally give haircuts to the students. Kim Hye Soo, who has always been active with various non-profit organizations, stated, "It deeply saddened me to see so many people in Kailali starve in between harvests. With my own eyes, I saw that our small contribution in the form of food served as a huge source of inspiration and hope for the kids. While I was deeply touched to see them being so grateful for our time and effort, it also saddened me that I could not more for them." Kim Hye Soo is an established trendsetter and style maker in Korea. Let's hope her act of kindness inspires others to make the time for volunteering.
