Club Burning Sun apologizes for the assault controversy + claims the woman stole drinks

Club Burning Sun released official statements on the assault allegations

On January 29, Burning Sun shared an official response to the ongoing controversy via Instagram. The head director Lee Sung Hyun and Lee Mon Ho of Burning Sun apologized on behalf of their employees and announced to properly engage in the police investigation. 

Burning Sun also shared details on the night of the incident. According to the club, a Thai woman was asked to leave after she was found stealing drinks at the VIP table. During this process, the woman hit the security guard's head. An employee with English skills attempted to explain the situation to the woman, but she reacted with anger and physically assaulted the employees. The police arrived at the scene and she was arrested. The case drew to a close with her paying a fine.

해당 영상에 대한 해명글 입니다 끌려나간후 같은 날 추가 영상이 있습니다 2018년 12월 1일 오전 01시 35분경 VIP테이블에서 취객 여자(태국인)이 테이블 술을 강제로 개봉하여 훔쳐 마시는등 난동을 부려퇴장 조치하였습니다. 퇴장하는 과정에서 가드 머리를 1차 폭행하였고 저희버닝썬 가드팀이 경찰신고 후 대기중 버닝썬 여자가드가 담당하고 있었으며 외국인과 의사소통 가능한 직원(청자켓 입은 남성)이 영어로 상황을 설명해 주었지만 오히려 화내며 여자가드와 영업진을 각각 1차례씩 폭행 하였습니다. 경찰 도착 후 해당영상을 경찰에 제출하였으며 외국인 고객은 현행범으로 체포되었으며 이후 노트북수리비 폭행 합의금을 받고 사건은 종결 되었습니다.

how convenient that they have a ready explanation that throws blame on the victim. Also, how convenient that Seungri just happen to resign just before this whole incident came to light. I'd understand if he had quit months ago. But this literally happened last week. Bull. Shit.

I'm not accusing Seungri of anything, but honestly, this whole ordeal is pretty sketchy and I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it. Usually, if someone is getting kicked out of a bar, a trained staff or security guard is allowed to forcibly remove the person from the premises, especially if that person is becoming too aggressive. However, that person may not use excessive force and to me (based on the original video), it looks like they used an unnecessary amount of force. Also, their apology doesn't explain why they beat up Mr. Kim, who was attacked for trying to help the female. I hope a fair and honest investigation is conducted so that we can find out the truth of this matter.
