Kriesha Tiu from 'K-Pop Star 6' will be debuting soon.

According to an insider, Kriesha Tiu will be releasing her debut album in May and promote. She's been working on her album since 'K-Pop Star 6' ended, and while there's no date specified, it'll be in the second half of the year.

I want this girl to succeed, but based on her stint in kpop star 6, she's still too raw at this point. Even if she were to join a group, it's still premature to debut, let alone go solo. Best of luck on her label's "strike while the iron is hot" strategy, but I'm scared it might harm her than do her good.

A few days ago there was an article called "YG Entertainment revealed to have signed a 'K-Pop Star 6' contestant..."

Her last name Tiu doesn't sound like a Filipino to me. It sounds more like a Chinese descent. I think we should completely ignore her and send her to China.

But she's American born Filipino. Also if you know the history of the Philippines you'd know that there was a Chinese Influence a long time ago in the late 1800's. It isn't really fair to cast her out because of her heritage.

Is she the one that YG was into soooo much that people were kind of side-eyeing him?  Or was that another girl?  I just remember he was gushing so much about one girl that people were saying she needed to be protected at all costs.

I always assumed YG liked Kriesha enough to pay her penalty to break her contract and sign her under him but I guess not

It's nice to see a fellow Filipino finally gain recognition in K-Pop. Plus she's Bisaya too! Ngilngiga jud ani niya uy. I was hoping she'll sign with YG though and debuting as a soloist especially one that's rushed could be a little worrisome, but I still wish her the best nevertheless.

I don't mind her training for years before debut though. Training is done for a reason and YG artists are truly talented, proof that the years have paid off. It's tough to debut at this stage with several acts out there too, but we'll see how it works for her.

As a soloist?? I know she has the talent, but I think she'll shine more in a group...
