On February 21, producers of 'SNL Korea 9' officially announced that Lee Se Young will be returning to the show. The official statement reads as follows:

"Hello, this is the producers.�

After a long time of thought, the producers of 'SNL Korea 9' decided to work with Lee Se Young for season 9. The producers had many discussions in the process of preparing for the new season and came to an agreement to work with Lee Se Young who has long been with us since 'SNL Korea 5'.�

Lee Se Young with great affection for 'SNL' accepted the producers' offer after a long discussion. The producers of 'SNL Korea 9' and Lee Se Young promise to go back to our original roots and greet viewers with more maturity.�

Furthermore, we will use viewers' voice as motivation and be more cautious in producing. We will work hard to provide laughter with the best content."

Lee Se Young left the last season of 'SNL Korea' after being accused of sexually harassing male idols on the show. She was then investigated by the police and was found innocent of all charges. Her return to 'SNL Korea 9' will be her first broadcast appearance since the controversy in December of 2016.

Season 9 of 'SNL Korea' will begin airing in March.
