LG Electronics is catching everyone's attention through its latest advertising tactic as it made reference to Lee Min Ho's now public relationship with Suzy.�
On April 8, LG posted on its�Facebook the above picture as well as the caption, "Who is this man, who captures people in China and beyond to even Taiwan and Hong Kong? Shall we all shout out his name?"�
The caption itself is nothing out of the ordinary as Lee Min Ho's Hallyu fame in China is often praised across Korean media. It's the picture that's raising eyebrows as it reads, "LG? Su-G (Suzy)?" playing around with Lee Min Ho's girlfriend's name.�
Despite LG's somewhat random joke, netizens responded negatively to the ad, saying that it was a bit much for LG to use its model's private life for advertisement. Netizens also mentioned that Suzy herself is not an LG model, so it was strange to use her name.�
An LG representative spoke up about the issue, saying, "After Lee Min Ho renewed his contract to model in China, we took this opportunity and made the post to only arouse interest, not as an official ad. Since Lee Min Ho officially acknowledged his relationship with Suzy, we saw no problem with making the post."�
Despite this, LG has since taken down the picture due to the negative response. What do you guys think? Was LG wrong to have randomly used Suzy's name or are netizens overreacting?
