A MBC representative announced that all nine members of Girls’ Generation will MC a new variety show on their Sunday, Sunday Night line-up. MBC has decided to add a new show, with Girls’ Generation as MCs, to their Sunday, Sunday Night line-up since it has had less than stellar ratings with their current shows Daemang (3.4%) and We Got Married (8.4%). MBC are still working on the details for the new variety show and so didn't reveal much. The only specifics that they released was that Girls’ Generation will be challenged with missions that they’ll have to complete, with filming expected to take place in many different locations. Since the girls have busy schedules individually, not all nine members will appear on the program at the same time. MBC plans to work with the girls’ schedules and, when it’s necessary, they’ll rotate them in and out of their MC duties. MBC has high expectations for their new variety show, which still remains nameless, and they think Girls’ Generation will be able to attract that younger audience that they desperately need. Filming for the pilot episode will begin next week. If the show gets a good response, after the first episode is aired, then MBC will make the program a regular part of their Sunday, Sunday Night line-up. So it looks like Tae Yeon and friends are just moving house from We Got Married to this new program. It’s too early to say whether the show will be good or not, since there weren’t that many details given. I have an excellent idea for a mission though. It involves the girls (minus Seo Hyun), a high class hotel room with a private jacuzzi, a case of soju, and various lotions and “toys.” Last but not least, Ha Ji Won would have to be there too accompanied by the dancing convenience store girl from one of Johnny’s previous article. Ok, so it’s more of a fantasy of mine than a mission for Girls’ Generation’s new program. The real mission would be if I could survive such a glorious night without dying from an overload of sheer joy and a drastic depletion of fluids.
