After Rain and Se7en, there have been practically no successors to their throne. That special someone who could wow and captivate audiences at the same time. It has been hard for young, new solo singers to make a breakthrough in recent years thanks to the monopolization of the market by idol male groups like DBSK, Big Bang, etc. Remember the special feature that TheProdigy did about who might be the next male Kpop star? At the time of writing, Tae Goon was the runaway winner with 52% of the 3,311 votes. It was neck to neck between AJ and Chung Lim who both shared 24%of the total votes, but Chung Lim just edged it slightly with 811 to 793 votes for AJ. We were however given a taste of what Chung Lim and AJ could offer during the 16th April episode of MNET M! Countdown. During the Countdown Heroes segment, they re-enacted the rivalry between Rain and Se7en with Chung Lim performing Rain's Rainism while AJ did Se7en's Passion.
