On November 20, doctor 'A,' accused of raping his younger sister, was found innocent of his charge at his first trial.

The internet first caught wind of the situation when the younger sister wrote her story online. She explained that ever since she was five-years-old, her older brother began to habitually sexually assault her. She accused him in 2012 of raping her three times at their house and also at the hospital that he manages. The police did not detain him then, so she turned to website�Daum Agora, where she shocked the public by writing a post detailing the years of sexual abuse. The police investigated the issue and prosecutors took it to court.

However, the Department of Justice seems to believe in the younger sister's statements. Representatives stated, "As the victim's sexual molestation story is consistent with investigations, her testimony is specific, and her statements, which contain shiver-inducing details, are also consistent, it's hard to believe that her statements were dreamed up." They were able to confirm an abortion she had during her college days as well as a phone call she had with a friend after one of the rape incidents occurred.

They stated that there might be some mistakes in the younger sister's statements, saying, "According to the forensic analysis, although there is credibility in the victim's statements, it's possible that the statement that 'A' [raped] her three times was a lie." They added, "We believe that the statement by the siblings' mother, 'There's no truth in the rape accusation,' was said to protect the eldest son."

Despite the fact that the judges sympathized with the younger sister, due to a lack of concrete evidence, they were unable to reach a guilty verdict during the first trial. They stated, "As the only evidence we have is the victim's statements, it will be hard to confirm the charge."
