Ailee and her husband, Choi Si Hun, recently visited a physiognomy expert following online rumors claiming that Choi’s facial features give off a negative or intimidating impression.
On March 7, Ailee uploaded a video to her YouTube channel titled 'Internet Says My Husband’s Face Is a Red Flag… So We Asked a Face Reader,' showing the couple meeting the expert to analyze their facial characteristics and compatibility.
Choi Si Hun explained that a significant portion of online comments on articles about their relationship, roughly 60 to 70 percent, described his face as “cold” or “intimidating.” “From the first dating rumors to wedding news, many comments said my face looked intimidating,” he said. “In real life, people often told me I have a gentle appearance. At first, I didn’t pay much attention, but since so many people mentioned it, I became curious and wanted to know whether my face really gives off that impression.”
The expert, after examining the couple, noted that their facial impressions are quite different, which may explain why some people misinterpret their compatibility. “From an outsider’s view, their facial types seem completely opposite, which may make it appear as if they are mismatched,” the expert said. “However, in physiognomy, couples with different features often complement each other. Sometimes, couples who look very similar actually have less harmonious energy.”
Analyzing their features in detail, the expert described Ailee as having rounded, three-dimensional facial features that give a warm and approachable impression, while Choi Si Hun’s sharper features could make him seem colder at first glance.
Regarding fortune and career, the expert said Ailee has strong middle-age career luck. “Her features indicate powerful career fortune from age 25 to 55, suggesting a busy life with continuous work opportunities.”
For Choi Si Hun, the expert noted that while his facial balance is good, his features may indicate frequent career changes. However, he is skilled at making quick decisions and avoiding major losses. Addressing the online controversy, the expert clarified, “Choi Si Hun’s physiognomy is not intimidating at all. I would like to see the physiognomy of the people leaving those comments.”
On financial matters, the expert suggested that Ailee has stronger luck in wealth accumulation, recommending that investment accounts or assets be managed under her name for better outcomes. Ailee married Choi Si Hun, a businessman and former actor three years her junior, last year. The couple is currently preparing for in vitro fertilization as they plan to start a family.
