AKP STAFF

The performance-based K-pop band GRANADA has released their 4th single album, ‘Happy Ending’, infusing hip grooves with their distinctive sound.

Leading the charge in the globalization of ‘Kukpop’ (a fusion of K-pop and traditional Korean music), GRANADA’s latest single, ‘Happy Ending’, delivers a positive message that no matter the journey, the outcome will be joyful.

The track stands out with its lively Funk rhythms and incorporates elements of traditional Korean narratives like Heungbuga, Simcheongga, and Chunhyangga, showcasing GRANADA’s unique color and flair.

The song also features sections that highlight vocalist Jenny’s pansori (a traditional Korean musical storytelling) capabilities, adding to its appeal. Over the funky instrumental, simple yet dance-like melodies of traditional Korean instruments are layered, enhancing the track’s charm.

‘Happy Ending’ communicates the dream of achieving happiness despite any adversity, heightening anticipation for GRANADA’s future endeavors.

I would love to see a Korean rock or metal band do something like this. Sort of like what Wagakki band did. That would be cool, too. I love seeing traditional instruments being used. It adds such an awesome vibe to the music in general.
