It is called a point of reference. The term "natural" sometimes is just too broad and vague. And to be honest, it is even boring these days since the term "natural" is way overused in commercials. On the other hand, Tomie aka femme fatale is much more specific and accurate to describe her makeup style. Also it shows that he/she is also a proud Junji Ito's fan.
Does anyone else miss the days when idols were called natural beauties instead of being compared to fake/cartoon characters?? I guess the unnatural plastic looking face is trendy now, but back in the day idols would get praised for having unique natural beauty instead of having a perfect plastic face
