I mean, it is not healthy but at least they get food. We didn't have that. If you don't bring food to school or buy something in the local shops you go hungry. Something is better than nothing.
I believe most American students would have to pay for those lunches, they generally aren't provided for free.
So many people are just irrational haters. Yes, she appeared on a terribly trashy American TV series and it probably was not great for her career, but, in the end, she didn't harm anyone but herself. You're acting like she's a rapist or a murderer. If anything, the hatred seems more intense than for actual rapists.
Just let the woman live her life, what wrong has she committed against you or anyone else?
To clarify things for the weirdos in the comments, this isn't a sponsorship in the sense of being paid to endorse a brand; Newjeans and ADOR basically just donated money to this charity for the deaf/hard of hearing.
South Korean Thoughts On
Alcoholics: Don't worry, I just got my 3rd DUI, too. Hope you didn't run over any "stray dogs" this time!
Rapists: She was asking for it, I could tell. Also, she's a gold digger and a liar.
The Samsung chairman that literally bribed the president for favors at the expense of the country: What a leader and job creator! The pride of Korea!
Drug addicts: DIE YOU #@#$&@#$&@#$& -downs 3 more bottles of soju and chain smokes a whole carton of cigarettes- I'LL #@I#$ KILL YOU!
She’s trying so hard to be the center of attention just to promote that flop song of hers. The fan said they didn’t even ask her about rm.
Wow, that actually makes no sense whatsoever. You're claiming her master plan to gain attention is to tell one totally random person at a fansign, hope it gets posted on social media, and that somehow helps her album sales? That's just nonsense. If she wanted everyone to know that she's friends with RM, she'd just have posted something on her IG or mentioned it on a show.
This is just a typical case of "I'm angry that an idol that I like is friends with someone of the opposite gender. It makes me especially angry that she is extremely pretty and well-liked while I remain miserable and jealous."
Honestly, I can see why becoming an idol wouldn't be as appealing as becoming a content creator on Youtube or Tiktok, as they make comparable amounts of money with much, much shorter/more flexible working hours and have a lot more control over their work/social life.
"Her outfit is excessively revealing but I dress like that too,"
???
I love Jihyo and I Live Alone, but glorifying solitary drinking and day drinking is just awful; both of those can be signs of alcohol abuse. Considering how many people have suffered and continue to suffer from alcoholism in South Korea and around the world, I really wish they wouldn't paint this in such a positive light. I also hope this type of drinking is an uncommon occurrence for Jihyo because the alternative is pretty concerning.
The people making a big deal about this must have absolutely no friends. A peck like that literally doesn't mean anything. 🙄
I really don't understand this, no one's forcing you to buy the different versions. It's like with shoes or cars, some people waste crazy amounts of money collecting rare/expensive ones, but no one's forcing you to do the same.
Uhm Jung Hwa's still killing it on stage at 53, why are people acting like 44 is ancient?
It's horrifying, but absolutely unsurprising that sexual harassment of idols is that common. Both boy and girl idols probably experience that kind of thing constantly, but can't talk about it because it'd ruin their careers. Hopefully, Cap bringing it up will at least get the conversation started for other ex-idols. I doubt it, though. Most likely every agency will tell their former idols to shut up if they don't want a JYJ or Jessica style entertainment ban.
I'm honestly disappointed that Korean netizens weren't more critical of this. Having a literal elementary school kid on your idol competition show is pure insanity. Is everyone just going to let this happen?
She's a really talented actress, I'm glad she's getting so many interesting roles.
That is actually insane. The contract automatically renews if you don't release enough albums, but we also have complete control over when you get to release an album. I genuinely hope that the courts will rule such clauses illegal. If not, every agency is going to put that into their contracts to trap their artists, assuming they haven't already.
That's a major red flag for bulimia, particularly the bingeing (6 donuts at a sitting?), eating that amount and staying so thin are mutually exclusive. If she was exercising that much there would be evidence of it, she'd be very very muscular, and it wouldn't burn off that amount of calories anyway.
.
But she isn't covered in massive muscles, she's thin.
Doing lots of cardio does not give you big, bulky muscles. Look at the top ultra-runners, they're all really skinny.
That's not what she wore on stage. She had a black tube-top added that's not in this pre-performance picture.
Maybe SBS said something and they added the black tube-top, or perhaps they rushed initially and forgot it. I dunno, but she didn't perform on TV in the outfit from that picture.
You're right, but, even if she did, who cares? The double standards for men and women are absolutely ridiculous. Short of straight up showing genitalia, men can basically wear as little as they want, but *gasp* how dare a woman partially show a bra? In what world is that fair?
This is the performance those pictures were captured from so you can judge for yourself.
The show's title is "Zombieverse", not "Zombie Bus"...
