A clip of Daegu's TBC 8 news anchor, Myung Mi Kim, being cool and composed during the 5.8-magnitude earthquake is going viral. Netizens are impressed by her professionalism and left comments such as:

"Awesome. It must be the first earthquake in her life... She could have died if the ceiling lights or any broadcasting material fell... She had a poker face. She would instantly be the best anchor if she worked at KBS."

"Now I understand how difficult life is as an anchor. They don't even care if there's an earthquake."

"What a Strong lady."

"Such a professional. She deserves a bonus!"

"She's much braver than I am," and more.

Check out her professionalism in the clip above!

She's so posed! I'm studying journalism and I could never do it, since 2010's earthquake in my country, I'm so scared of them.

How would I react? To answer your question akp, like its just another day of the week. If you're Chilean like me you know what I mean. So many earthquakes on a regular basis that it doesn't stop daily life.

For Chile maybe. But honestly if you live in Korea, earthquakes are almost non-existent. I have family there and it was the first time they called us in LA to tell us about an earthquake they felt in Korea.

Well that was exactly the point. Nowhere does it say in akp's question "... If you lived in Korea." They asked from your point of view. ¬_¬

People who live in countries that have earthquakes are used to them. I can't speak for South Korea, but I know Japanese are very used to earthquakes, and they are very calm when earthquakes hit.

I live in Los Angeles and I'm not used to earthquakes. They still freak me out.

Earthquakes in Korea aren't really common as Japan. You might have very small tremors, but never anything major or anything like the one you just saw in the video clip.

I know. I'm from earthquake country, and it was such a show during my freshman year in dorm in college seeing my dormmates freaking out when earthquakes hit.

From my perspective.. I bet she was thinking more of her job than her life... Because one move from their will be a broadcast blunder... but she stayed still.. :)

No one mentioned anything about the behind the scene crew who also stayed during the earthquake tremors, the cameraman, audio crew and others. its like the viewers thought only the announcer is there talking. give the crew some credit too. A live Broadcast is never successful just because of one person.
