On the latest installment of Big Bang Daesung's new YouTube series 'ZIP Daesung', the members of Army Bang including Taeyang, Beenzino, and Joo Won appeared as guests and caught up with one another on what they've been up to lately. [The fifty member of Army Bang, Go Kyung Pyo, will arrive on next week's episode after finishing up a schedule in Japan.]

On this episode, Daesung was led the conversation by asking each of the guests questions about their recent projects. However, when it came Taeyang's turn, Daesung asked, "Hyung, do you see anyone here among the staff who seems familiar to you? Because there is someone here who knows you very well."

Hearing this, Taeyang looked around briefly, then pointed his finger with alarm at someone in the staff. The staff, a writer for the program, responded by saying, "Hi friend." 

Amazed, Taeyang remarked, "I remember your name! We went to elementary school together!" The two old classmates then high-fived, as the writer recalled, "Youngbae, the son of the grocery store owner. After elementary school, we met again while we were in high school, right before you debuted in Big Bang." 

The writer continued, "This is what you told me at that time. You said, 'My company told us that they planned to make us into the next TVXQ'." To this, Daesung commented, "The TVXQ hyungs were #1 in those days."

Taeyang also observed, "When they told us that, I thought it was ridiculous as well. I thought, 'Us?'. I took a look at Daesung and went in my head again, 'Us??'." 

Next, the writer said, "In middle school, word on the street was that you would always find Kwon Jiyong and Dong Youngbae roaming the streets of Uijeongbu as a pair." Taeyang then quickly clarified, "We were just wandering around because we had nothing better to do."
