'Single's Inferno 3' producers clarified participant Yoon Ha Jung claiming she was an ordinary office worker when she was already affiliated with an agency.

Producer Kim Jae Won and producer Kim Jung Hyun met with TenAsia on January 11 to delve deep into the creation of the popular reality dating show season 3.

The recently concluded 'Single's Inferno 3' is a candid and spicy dating reality show that unfolds on a remote island called Inferno Island, where only couples are allowed to leave. Season 3 concluded with four couples leaving the island: Choi Hye Sun & Lee Gwan Hee, Ahn Min Young & Lee Jin Seok, Kim Kyu Ri & Park Min Kyu, and Yoo Si Eun & Choi Min Woo.

Many contestants garnered much attention on the show. In particular, many female contestants were former beauty pageant participants. Producer Kim Jung Hyun explained, "We didn't specifically look for beauty pageant contestants. We searched through social media and sent DM, and it turned out they were former beauty pageant participants."

Producer Kim Jae Won added, "Many people are hesitant about exposing themselves to the public and are shy about standing in front of the cameras. However, beauty pageant contestants aren't uncomfortable standing in the public's eye. So, I think that's why there were quite a few of them."

The producers also clarified the latest buzz over contestant Yoon Ha Jung's background. Yoon Ha Jung gained much popularity for her beauty and her honest personality. During the show, she introduced herself as an ordinary office worker working at a clothing company but was later found to be affiliated with an agency already.

Producer Kim Jae Won explained, "It is true Ha Jung works for a clothing company run by her family. She is actually working, not just at the company, but is also simultaneously pursuing a career as a model." The producer added, "Even people with ordinary jobs start thinking about other career paths after they appear on the show and receive attention. When they gain recognition, they naturally consider other professions as options in their lives. So we usually advise not to neglect their main job since you never know how public attention will turn out and we tell them we hope they don't change their life so dramatically (after the show)."

It's basically like Love Island. The people who go on these shows don't do if for love, they do it to get their name out and potentially earn some brand deals or to get casted on other subsequent shows. The majority of Love Island contestants come out with brand deals from online shopping brands like Pretty Little Thing, Boohoo, etc and make $$$ out of them. It's the same with Singles Inferno, a lot of them come out with clothing and makeup endorsement brands and others go on TV such as Dex and Song Jia.
