Sandara Park steals the spotlight at brother Thunder's wedding photoshoot

AKP STAFF

On January 22nd, the TV Chosun show 'Lovebirds of Joseon' featured Thunder's fiancée, Mimi, meeting her sisters-in-law, Sandara Park of 2NE1 and Park Durami

During the episode, Sandara Park, wearing a vibrant green princess dress for her brother's wedding photoshoot, laughingly expressed her surprise at the dress's extravagance, unaware such a choice might overshadow the bride.

Thunder explained the inclusion of his sisters in the shoot, envisioning a beautiful set of pictures. However, Kim Jimin and Hwang Bora from the VCR segment raised concerns that the sisters' beauty, especially Sandara's, might detract from the bride's presence, with Hwang Bora remarking on the unusual placement of the sisters in the wedding photos.

It's ugly to say she stole the spotlight. She shined too, but let's not do that on someone else's wedding photos.

She looks like a fairy! However let’s not let this take away from how beautiful Mimi looks. Her dress is really pretty! Dara was just happy to see her brother’s wedding and had her picture taken.

I think it got blown out of proportion because since there are two gowns of the same color side by side, on first look it looks like her gown had an even larger train and Dara ended up “taking” the bigger part of the picture because of the optical illusion. But it’s actually a very common tradition to have the bridesmaids and family members on center of the photos with the groom and bride by the sides.

Congratulations to Thunder and Mimi! I hope they’re very happy together!
