AfreecaTV streamer Kim Si Won (former GLAM member Dahee) suddenly declared that she will be retiring from streaming.

Kim Si Won posted a lengthy handwritten letter bidding farewell to her fans. She wrote, "Thank you, everyone. I want to now leave (streaming), and I will not be returning." She continued, "I didn't know how to start saying this because I kept this to myself until now but I think it's best if I share what's on my mind sincerely and honestly. It took some time because I wrote and rewrote this several times."

Kim Si Won continued, "It's been six years since I started streaming, and to be honest, the May 1st streaming celebrating my sixth anniversary was supposed to be my last stream. I think some people anticipated this because they saw me having a hard time. Still, I wanted to try my best until the end and try until I wouldn't regret it."

She also revealed why she decided to retire from streaming and explained, "If I say this through streaming, I think I won't be able to deliver everything on my mind and I felt I wouldn't be able to end it...there are several reasons that piled on top of one another and there were so many things happening all at once. So, I've grown so tired. I think I've grown tired because there were repeated situations where the people who liked me and were thankful to me started blaming me. There are going to be people curious about this but I don't want to give so many excuses saying I want to stop streaming. I'm not going to explain forever and I want to only remember good things."

She concluded by sharing, "This is going to be my last letter and the last announcement. There are going to be people who will be disappointed after reading this, there are going to be people who get mad, sad, or relieved. I just want to say thank you to everyone. I want to now leave (streaming). And I won't be returning."

She also expressed her thanks to those who have been with her throughout her streaming career by saying, "When I chose the profession of being a BJ (broadcast jockey/streamer) for the first time, I was awkward with everything and things were challenging. Now, it has become a familiar life...I am grateful to everyone who has been with me during all those times. This world is full of people, and through broadcasting, I got to know many interesting, unique, and wonderful people."

Lastly, she wrote, "There were many times when I couldn't grasp my emotions, and every time, you gave me courage and made me realize my worth. I am very thankful to everyone who took the time for me and cared for me. To all of you, take care of your health always, and may this be a precious place where you create more beautiful memories with better people."

Meanwhile, Kim Si Won gained fame as Dahee, a former member of the girl group GLAM. In 2014, she faced legal issues for secretly recording and threatening actor Lee Byung Hun and model Lee, demanding 5 billion KRW (3.8 million USD). 

She was sentenced to one year in prison for blackmail but later received a suspended sentence of one year and probation for two years on appeal. After the disbandment of GLAM, she started afresh as an AfreecaTV BJ in 2018, stating that she returned to broadcasting because she wanted to sing.
