D.O. released his first new song in two years through his second mini album in September last year. He showed off his charm as a vocalist and solo artist, which is different from when he was active in the group EXO. If he releases a new album again this year, he will be returning to the music industry after 8 months.

Previously, D.O. left SM Entertainment in November of last year and moved to Company SooSoo, a new agency established independently from his long-time manager who had been with him since his debut.

To mark the new year, D.O. plans to spend meaningful time with fans on January 13 KST and hold a fan meeting to commemorate their birthday, release a solo album in May, and begin filming the 35 billion blockbuster drama 'Sculpture City' in the second half of the year. In the show, he plays the role of a designer who creates a real hell by sculpting people's lives, and plays a villain for the first time since his debut.
