One of the hottest names recently catching waves in the acting industry is Park Min Young, an actress whose dramas constantly made a huge impact to K-Drama viewers, starring in various hit dramas not only domestically, but even more internationally.

She graduated with a degree in theater, showcasing her love for the craft even way back then, and she officially debuted in the entertainment industry through a telecom commercial in 2005. She launched her acting career through the hit sitcom, "High Kick!" in 2006, and eventually starred in various dramas, such as "I Am Sam" as a daughter of a notorious gangster, a villainous princess in "Ja Myung Go," and was also featured in the music video of Big Bang's hit song "Haru Haru."

Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010)

Min Young's breakthrough drama, "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," showcases her acting prowess as Kim Yoon Hee, who disguises herself as a man to make ends meet, get jobs, and eventually be involved in an incident that will make her enter the prestigious school, Sungkyunkwan, which is Joseon Dynasty's highest educational institute, which is a school only for men. She was awarded the Excellence Award for an Actress in a Mid-length Drama during the 2010 KBS Drama Awards.


City Hunter (2011)

In another lead role, Min Young portrays the role of Kim Na Na in the drama "City Hunter", an independent and determined woman due to her sad past, with highly exceptional martial art skills that will earn her an assignment as a bodyguard with the Presidential Security Service.

Healer (2014-2015)

Min Young played Young Shin in the hit drama "Healer," where she is an internet news reporter with an outgoing nature and quirks who aspires to become a renowned reporter. When she learns of her unknown past as the lost child, Oh Ji An, her dreams are put to the test. She wins another Excellence Award for an Actress in a Mid-length Drama during the 2014 KBS Drama Awards.


Remember (2015-2016)

Min Young stars in the thriller series, "Remember", as Lee In Ah, a prosecutor who has strong virtues and belief in justice, prosecuting criminals despite her continuous struggle against her superiors who take bribes from conglomerates. 

Queen for Seven Days (2017)

Min Young portrays the character of Shin Chae Kyung, who later becomes Queen Dangyeong, a queen for a short-lived period. Chae Kyung's tumultuous journey unfolds as she navigates through political conspiracies in the Joseon Dynasty, alongside personal sacrifices they are forced to make.


What's Wrong With Secretary Kim (2018)

In another hit drama, Min Young takes the role of Secretary Kim Mi So, a highly skilled secretary who has worked with Vice Chairman Lee Young Joon (Park Seo Joon) for nine years. She shocks her boss when she declares that she will resign from her position for a shocking reason.


Her Private Life (2019)

From being an assistant, she will portray Sung Deok Mi in the drama "Her Private Life", who is leading a double life as the chief curator of Cheum Museum of Art despite being unrecognized and uncredited for her hardwork, and as a famous fansite manager of "Sian is My Way" for her ultimate bias, White Ocean's Cha Shi An. Her life changes as she gets involved in unfounded rumors, forcing her to pretend a fake relationship with their new art director, Ryan Gold (Kim Jae Wook).


When the Weather Is Fine (2020)

In the drama "When the Weather is Fine", she takes on the role of Mok Hae Won, a cellist who quits her job as a teacher in Seoul and comes back to Bookhyun Village, in Gangwon Province, where she briefly lived when she was in high school and meets former classmate and neighbor, Im Eun Seob (Seo Kang Joon).


Forecasting Love and Weather (2023)

She takes on the role of a weather forecaster in the drama "Forecasting Love and Weather", as Jin Ha Kyung, the free-spirited 35 year old general forecaster of the 2nd Division of Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) whose life will take a turn as she meets Lee Si Woo (Song Kang) who is in-charge of Special Reporting Division 2 of KMA.

Love in Contract (2023)

A new play in contractual relationships, Min Young, portrays the role of Choi Sang Eun, who has an unusual job as a "single life helper" who acts as a partner of single people needing partners to attend events. She finds herself in between Jung Ji Ho (Go Kyung Pyo), a mysterious man with a long-term contract with Sang Eun, and Kang Hae Jin (Kim Jae Young), a Hallyu star and the youngest son of the chaebol who has a new contract with Sang Eun.


Bonus: Marry My Husband (2024)

A bonus on-going drama, Min Young is currently starring in the drama "Marry My Husband" as Kang Ji Won, a woman who has been given another chance in life after witnessing her best friend and husband's affair. As she goes back to the year 2013, it is now up to Ji Won on how to make her cheating best friend, Jung Soo Min (Song Ha Yoon), marry her future husband, Park Min Hwan (Lee Yi Kyung), in order to change her fate.
