At the recent production presentation for 'Sweet Home Season 2,' held at Esfactory in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, actor Song Kang reflected on a challenging scene he filmed for the upcoming season.

The event, which took place on November 30, was attended by a stellar cast including Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Go Min Si, Jin Young, Yoo Oh Seong, Kim Moo Yeol, as well as director Lee Eung Bok.

Song Kang, reprising his lead role from the first season, humorously admitted to feeling nervous when discussing the scene where he had to expose his body. He confessed that he put much effort into building muscle in his body to portray the transformed Cha Hyun Soo.

He shared, "I tried hard. I put in special effort to build muscle in my back. Also, I talked a lot with the director to create that scene." He continued, "I'm very happy the scene came out nice. I'm usually shy but after filming that scene, I was able to overcome my natural shyness. I also feel the director helps me to mature and grow. So I want to say thank you."

Director Lee Eung Bok lauded Song Kang's performance, especially praising a poignant scene where Song Kang's character empathizes with a monster. Despite the monster being a fictional creation, Song Kang's portrayal added a deeply moving layer to the sequence.

The director shared, "The part that really moved me in that scene is at the end. It's when Song Kang shows empathy towards the monsters and sheds tears. Although the monsters are fictional characters, he cried so sadly. I was very impressed and felt that he had become a great actor after seeing him project such emotion even in difficult circumstances."

'Sweet Home Season 2' follows the journey of Cha Hyun Soo (played by Song Kang) and other survivors as they navigate survival in a new territory where human desires morph into monstrous forms. The upcoming season promises a blend of suspense and drama, heightened by introducing new characters and mysterious developments.

With a release date set for December 1 on Netflix, the second season boasts an impressive ensemble cast, promising to add further depth and excitement to the popular series.

IMHO they shoulda ended after season 1 (with a proper ending). From what I read about season2s plot in the comics, this is gonna suck (coz it changes a lot from season 1)
