Lisa's Weibo account gets deleted

AKP STAFF

BLACKPINK's Lisa had her Weibo account deleted in China.

On November 1st, a message appeared on Lisa's Weibo account, stating, "This account can no longer be viewed due to reports of violations of laws, regulations, and Weibo community agreements."

Internet users speculated that this deletion was related to Lisa's participation in the "Crazy Horse Show" in Paris, France, last month. The "Crazy Horse" is one of the three major shows in Paris, known for its controversial use of light and illumination on the naked female body, leading to discussions of sexualization.

China strictly prohibits the promotion of lewd and indecent performances, as per the regulations of the China Performing Arts Association. Lisa's participation in the "Crazy Horse" show was seen as the reason for the deletion of her Weibo account.

Meanwhile, Blackpink, the group Lisa is a part of, celebrated its 7th debut anniversary in August. The decision regarding their contract renewal with YG Entertainment is still pending.

That not a surprise, given the backlash she got from Cnets, and Im sure her account was reported, plus with how widespread the news of her performance was, Im again kinda surprised they even waited this long.... Its China being China....This really has nothing to do with Lisa, as she's leaning more to the West to promote her career anyways....

In China even their own celebs walk on thin ice sheets daily, so even the celebs in China who were allegedly at Lisa's performances( which even Crazy Hourse denied they didn't enter and watched the show)..... are in trouble....I have seen celebs in China got or nearly got cancel for issues that wasn't much or their fault while some was at fault for much smaller issues than this....so it is, what it is.
