SM Entertainment, despite recent market fluctuations, is expected to continue performing well. Meritz Securities has maintained its evaluation of SM Entertainment's fair stock price at 155,000 won($115.37USD), the same as in August.

In the third quarter, SM Entertainment is predicted to achieve significant growth with expected consolidated revenue of 304.3 billion won($226millon USD) (a 27.8% increase from the previous year) and an operating profit of 54.7 billion won ($40million USD)(an 83.7% increase from the previous year). These strong results have led to a positive evaluation.

SM Entertainment's achievements include record-breaking album sales of 8.86 million copies, driven by popular releases such as EXO's 7th regular album, NCT Dream's albums, and Red Velvet's 3rd regular album. The agency is also expected to earn around 116.9 billion won from music and album sales. Furthermore, concert revenue is estimated to reach 23.1 billion won, partially due to the success of aespa's North American tour and NCT Dream's tour.

The company's fourth-quarter performance is also projected to be strong, with the release of albums by NCT 127, Red Velvet, and others. As a result, the full-year consolidated operating profit is expected to reach 151.9 billion won, marking a significant increase from the previous year.

SM Entertainment is not only focusing on its Asian fan base but is also looking to expand globally in line with the K-pop trend. They have plans for the debut of NCT New Team and a girl group in Japan in the first half of 2024, along with preparations for virtual artists. The company is also exploring the possibility of producing local idols, similar to other entertainment companies like JYP Entertainment and HYBE.
