The Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC) has reported that the most significant number of viewer complaints received from January to August this year was related to the SBS TV program 'Unanswered Questions', which shed light on the exclusive contract dispute involving the girl group FIFTY FIFTY.

According to data received by Yoon Du Hyun, a member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party and part of the Science, ICT, Future Planning, Broadcasting and Communications Committee, the August 19 episode of 'Unanswered Questions' received an astounding 1,146 complaints, prompting the KCSC to review whether this situation really warrants an investigation. More about the complaints for this episode can be found here.

The broadcast in question featured interviews with family members of certain FIFTY FIFTY members, which led to criticisms of bias and unfairness in the content following its airing, for which, Dispatch had disproved a few.

The second program that received the most complaints was the SBS TV program 'SBS 8 News' broadcast on March 13, which revolved around the misrepresentation of actor Yang Jakyung's Academy Awards acceptance speech, receiving 508 complains.

Ranking right behind is the MBN program 'Burning Trotman' which aired on February 21, receiving 175 complaints regarding the appropriateness of the participation of Hwang Youngwoong amidst allegations of school violence. Similarly, the episode broadcast on February 28 garnered 84 complaints for the same reason.

Do you think there was a need for 'Unanswered Questions', a program dedicated to uncovering unsolved mysteries and deeper and darker topics such as socially and religiously controversial cases, to have covered FIFTY FIFTY's case? Let us know in your comments below!

GOOD!!! The way that show handled the "facts" were too sus to be left alone. It was too obvious that they had an agenda releasing that.

In regards to the final question for this post- I believe it was a relevant for them to cover this situation considering the allegations at hand are rampant issues throughout one of South Koreas largest imports and sources of revenue, the K-pop industry. However, their flagrant disregard for information on one side in order to favor another is why people were so upset. This also reasonably begs the question if they ever did this for any of their previous investigative reports. Sure, this issue may not be important to some, which is of no consequence. But it's the matter of the program claiming to be fair and unbiased when it was clear in this scandal they cherry picked claims from one side (the Givers) while blatantly ignoring and omitting black and white facts and information provided from the opposing side (Attrakt). It's a shame, but you reap what you sow.
