Season 2 of 'Weak Hero: Class 1' is coming soon!

On October 8 KST, actor Kim Kang Woo and former Momoland member Nancy hosted the 2023 Asia Content Awards & Global OTT Awards at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center. The Asia Content Awards is a major event of the Busan International Film Festival that honors outstanding television, OTT (streaming services), and online content from across Asia.

During the event, the Wavve Original drama 'Weak Hero: Class 1' received the award for Best OTT Original.

While delivering his acceptance speech, producer Kim Myung Jin commented, "When 'Weak Hero' was screened at the Busan International Film Festival last year, we received a lot of love as we met the audience. We've come this far thanks to that energy, and we plan to gather more strength to create the next chapter. [...] We hope for a lot of anticipation and interest in this story as we will continue to tell it. Please remember that the upcoming stories will truly be about weak heroes."

Meanwhile, based on a popular webtoon series, 'Weak Hero: Class 1' follows the story of a high school student named Yeon Si Eun (played by Park Ji Hoon). He is a top student attending a high school known for its rampant violence and bullying, and in the series, he is determined to stand up against the bullies and bring justice to the school. Park Ji Hoon's portrayal of Yeon Si Eun earned him Best New Actor at the 2023 Blue Dragon Series Awards, while castmate Choi Hyun Wook won the Whynot Award at the same event.
