ATTRAKT files additional criminal complaint against The Givers over embezzlement allegations in the FIFTY FIFTY controversy

AKP STAFF

ATTRAKT, the agency of the group FIFTY FIFTY (Saena, Aran, Keena, and Sio), has filed an additional criminal complaint against the outsourcing service company The Givers, led by CEO Ahn Sung Il

On July 7, the law firm Sojong Partners, handling the ATTRAKT lawsuit, revealed, "While organizing the takeover data received from The Givers, we discovered an embezzlement case without prior consultation with ATTRAKT. Upon checking with the service contract company, it has been confirmed that The Givers engaged in embezzlement by forging a false service contract."

Simultaneously, they lodged a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station on the afternoon of July 7, stating, "CEO Ahn Sung Il's criminal charges continue to mount. If any further criminal charges come to light, we will ensure he is held accountable until the end."

The controversy surrounding the contract between FIFTY FIFTY and  The Givers began on the 26th of last month when ATTRAKT CEO Jun Hong Joon disclosed, "It appears that an outside company and Warner Music Korea are involved in the recent attempted poaching of FIFTY FIFTY members."

In response, Warner Music Korea denied the allegations, stating that the claims were baseless. The Givers, led by CEO Ahn Sung Il, also expressed their position, saying, "We will take legal action against the false accusations made by ATTRAKT's CEO Jun Hong Joon and the continuous spread of misinformation through the media."

Subsequently, on July 3, CEO Jun Hong Joon released a transcript of a phone call he had with Warner Music Korea, in which he insisted that CEO Ahn Sung Il proceeded with the buyout of FIFTY FIFTY without the approval of ATTRAKT.

The Givers countered these claims in a statement, asserting, "CEO Ahn only conveyed Warner Music Korea's proposal and never made arbitrary decisions regarding the members' futures."

Meanwhile, on June 28, KST, law firm Barun announced that the members of FIFTY FIFTY have filed for a provisional injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with their agency, ATTRAKT.

It then came to light that the members of FIFTY FIFTY had officially trademarked the group name "FIFTY FIFTY" on June 19, and on that very day, they proceeded to file for a provisional injunction.

Not be shy, sue the backstabbers as well, for the debt and for the money the could have gotten if it wasn't for the scandal.

While I recognize that ATTRAKT doesn’t have a squeaky clean reputation in this battle, it’s clear that Ahn Sung Il had an agenda that he’s played before. He never got this much pushback the other times he’s effectively snatched talent away from another agency, but this situation is very different given the high stakes involved.
