Netizens point out similarities between &TEAM and Seventeen's choreographies, raising plagiarism concerns

AKP STAFF

Are there similarities between &TEAM's choreography and Seventeen's existing moves?

On Twitter, a netizen made a post noting some similarities between &TEAM and Seventeen's choreographies. The poster raised concerns that &TEAM may have plagiarized Seventeen's choreography, and additional fans brought the issue to the attention of other netizens.

According to the uploader, &TEAM's dance for "FIREWORK" had similarities to Seventeen's original moves, especially the "elevator choreography," during which a member is lifted up from the ground with the support of the other members' feet.

The poster wrote: "It's a really unique choreography, so it looks like they basically just took the move and pasted it onto their own."

Responders in the thread remarked that the issue needs to be address to HYBE Labels, as they suggested that plagiarism should never be acceptable, regardless of whether it occurs in the same company or not. &TEAM and Seventeen are both under HYBE Labels, and netizens are now wondering about their respective choreographers.

Fans of Seventeen are also vocally directing their inquiries directly to HYBE Labels rather than to the members of &TEAM. Currently, the issue remains as a speculation based on the observation made by fans.

What are your thoughts on these concerns raised against &TEAM's choreography?

Choreographies are getting recycled all the time. Like, finger guns anyone? As long as the songs are different, I don't see a problem.
