It's no secret that Jin is insanely popular in Japan for his music, flawless vocals, and actor-like visuals. To this day, he remains the only K-pop soloist to peak at #4 on Japan Hot 100 chart in the past decade. 

Not so long ago, a legendary music producer and director, Saito Eisuke, confessed that he decided to give BTS a chance in Japan after getting to know Jin. In addition, the artist garnered widespread acclaim for his solo music from critics worldwide. Moreover, he receives immense praise for his outstanding singing abilities. 

Rinko Matsushima, who is a member of The Japanese Association for the Study of Popular Music and a former director of Music Pen Club Japan, made a review about Jin's vocal abilities, analyzing his song "Yours." The post gained lots of attention from the Japanese public and eventually reached international fans. Here's the English translation of her review:

"Jin's singing voice has a very clear sound. His mixed voice is characterized by a sweet tone and a strong sense of transparency. At a high key Jin can mix nasal sound and break it, which is rare. On the other hand, the head voice from the falsetto in the high register is characterized by a gentle timbre with a very glossy and beautiful sound. His head voice also has a solid tone in the higher notes. Stable high-pitch voice appears very well during Jin's live performances. His melodies are very precise and smooth. The quality of the voice is clear and stable, not the type that has multiple breaks and sounds "muddy." The clarity in the pronunciation of his lyrics is impressive too, which helps to make a personal connection to the listeners."

Last year, a Japanese DJ and MC of K-pop events, Masayuki Furuya, also gave a review on Jin's vocals in "Yours":

"Jin is described as Silver Voice in Korea. He has a unique high-pitched voice & this song uses falsetto a lot. The presence of breath, whispering voice & the falsetto voice is amazing."
