Why Big Bang has so many male fans

There are no words to describe Big Bang as the group is truly a trendsetter and has set itself on the list of the most legendary groups in the K-pop industry.

Big Bang has released countless hit songs and has garnered numerous fans from all over the world. Big Bang has become a brand in itself and continues to have much influence in the music industry.


Despite the long four years of hiatus as a group, Big Bang achieved records with their latest single, "Still Life." Even after taking an extended break from the music industry, the group achieved a 'Perfect All Kill' as they topped all the major music charts in South Korea.

Given the immense popularity, Big Bang has been the icon of the 'want-to-be' star as many fans aspire to become like them. Because of this aspect, it seems that Big Bang has many male fans compared to other boy groups.

Hello male fan here. I can personally say I like Big Bang because I like their music. Rather simple really.

I remember reading a long time ago that they just simply didn't cater towards the female demographic exclusively. Boy groups frequently employed the cutesy, "oppa" image or even the extremely masculine image. Big Bang was also known for not going overboard w/ their fan interactions which are mostly female-heavy. Big Bang started out doing hip-hop which is also a genre that a lot of guys like so I'm sure it helps. At the end of the day, it was never about the image, but their music.
