Director Hong Sang Soo and actress Kim Min Hee attended the Berlin International Film Festival together for the first time in two years. 

On February 16, director Hong and Kim Min Hee attended the photocall and press conference at the '72nd Berlin International Film Festival' held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin, Germany, for their film 'A Novelist's Film.'

The two appeared together in plain clothes matching in black. Director Hong Sang Soo appeared in front f the camera with a thin appearance, and Kim Min Hee appeared wearing a comfortable, neat one-piece dress. The two appeared at the photo booth hand in hand once again for the press conference this year as well.

Director Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee had attended the Berlin Film Festival for the first time in two years since their attendance back in February 2020 at the 70th Berlin Film Festival. 

Hong Sang Soo's 27th work, 'A Novelist's Film,' entered the competition section of this year's Berlin Film Festival. The movie, which was released through the World Premiere on that day, depicts the story of a novelist who meets a couple, who are both directors, while going to the bookstore of his junior who has disappeared and then meets a female actor.

'The Novelist's Film' features actors Lee Hye Young, Seo Young Hwa, Kwon Hae Hyo, and Kim Min Hee. Kim Min Hee was also named as the production manager for this film following the movie 'Introduction.'

At the press conference that day, director Hong Sang Soo said, "Casting is the most important thing in a movie. Most of the actors, such as Kim Min Hee and Lee Hye Young, have worked together in the past, but this time I received different energy. That stimulated something inside me."

Kim Min Hee said, "It was the first time I worked with Lee Hye Young as an actress, but we got along well. 'A Novelist's Film' is a work that deals with relationships, and I was able to learn a lot about relationships through working with her."
