On the 7th of July, BTS’s member V swept the charts of 101 countries with his first-ever solo soundtrack “Sweet Night” becoming the first and only male soloist in history to achieve such a milestone. In under a span of 24 hours, V has set additional monumental achievements to his name by extending his record to a total of 105 countries.

According to multiple news outlets, V now holds the title as the “#1 soloist in the world” as he has successfully surpassed Adele who previously held the record for her 2015 mega-hit song “Hello” and BTS who recently took over the top spot with their record-breaking song "Black Swan." In addition, V is now first and the fastest artist in history to top the charts of 105 countries. Moreover,  he is also the only artist to rank two songs on the prestigious list.

With “Sweet Night”, a song written, produced and sung by him, V has not only set K-pop history but also written his name in golden letters in the history of worldwide music. By achieving records that even the most popular western artists dream of, V has become one of the most legendary soloists at a very young age.
