On July 21, 'GQ Korea' revealed a series of 2PM Taecyeon's photos along with an interview.

In the photos, Taecyeon can be seen savagely eating various fruits to fit the image of a 'Beast Idol'. While he and his group members became well-known through their rough image, he showed his calm, comfortable, and smooth side in other images.

In the interview, Taecyeon recalled the past ten years, saying, "I expressed myself as much as I would have liked to through youth and passion that I could only do in my 20s. I enjoyed my 20s." He continued on how he feels turning 30, "I'm more excited than fearful. It's time for me to decide everything independently."

He also spoke of his everyday lifestyle, "I try to maintain my identity and stay grounded. I do things that seem to be obvious to me, but also things I like. When I was in school, I went to school much as possible, and when I went traveling, I wanted to learn more about the history of those locations so I went with tour guides. This is why I can work happily as well. I want to preserve values of simple and important things to me."
