Fans on Twitter celebrate the release of Daesung's 'D-Day' in Korea

Fans in both Korea and overseas celebrated the release of Big Bang main vocalist Daesung's new Japanese mini album, 'D-Day'.

Although a Japanese mini, 'D-Day' was released simultaneously in both Korea and Japan on March 28 (KST), topping Japan's iTunes Chart upon release. The album being released in Korea is a special occasion for fans of Big Bang, or VIP, since the last time Daesung released any official solo music on Korean music sites was in 2011, an OST titled "Lunatic" for drama 'What's Up'.

To celebrate the occasion, fans trended the hashtag #???_????_??? (literally #Kang Dae Sung_Congratulations on your_solo album), spreading the word about Daesung's new album.

Fans also noted that after the immediate release of 'D-Day', Daesung's old hit, "Look at Me, Gwisoon", also began trending realtime on a domestic music chart.

You can watch the MV for Daesung's "D-Day" here! We hope to hear more solo music from Daesung soon!
