SBS drama 'Our Gab Soon' is undergoing review for allegedly showing dating violence in one of its kiss scenes.

According to the Korea Communications Standards Commission, the scene of Song Jae Rim grabbing Kim So Eun by the wrist and aggressively pushing her against the wall to force a kiss is a form of dating violence. In the scene, Kim So Eun is breaking up with Song Jae Rim, who doesn't want to accept the news. As a result, the scene will be officially going under review on October 12.

I think watching the kiss scene alone takes it a bit out of context. Without considering the nature turbulence and complicated nature of their relationship, I think using the description "dating violence" miss-characterizes what the director was trying to portray. When I saw this scene while watching this drama, my reaction wasn't "oh my god, that's violent". It was more like I wished these two had a better 1st kiss since ending their virtual marriage on We Got Married.

An 'Insistent Kiss' might be an unwelcome 'bad idea,' but it is NOT RAPE. The KCSC (K-TV Censors) needs to show 'The Public' that they are 'Alert' and 'Doing Our Job.' Maybe one should wonder what percentage of S.Korean females have had an unwanted 'kiss advance' take place for them. Maybe showing on TV that this reality (a somewhat forced kiss) does exist, is better than hiding it? Discussions of these issues are always somewhat controversial. The 'forced kiss scene' in question here seemed a reasonable part of the overall story plot; to me.

its close to the border of "dating violence" but doesnt cross it and its a drama just put a warning or have someone review the scene before its release and rate it then

okay, so what about Secret and Que Sera Sera!?  and every other drama lol.  cause even though they might not be as extreme as this or Que, it's still the same "dating violence"

Sometimes, a good story plot is meant to make you feel a bit uncomfortable.

i saw that while watching the drama and it made me very uncomfortable. definitely inappropriate for TV as it makes people think that kind of behavior is acceptable, which it absolutely is not.

There will always be a lot of things on T.V that will make people feel uncomfortable, but what people think bout certain behaviors being acceptable from what they see is something that cannot be controlled and if you do follow something that you see on TV well that just means your delusional if you think it will end up the same way as the TV show.
